Wanna play with a sneak peek of the new Australis tabs for Firefox? I’ve put together a build of it that you can download and run with.
Installer (16 mb) |
Zip archive (21 mb) |
This isn’t checked in yet, but it should be coming along soon. I only implemented it for Windows, so my apologies go out to those on OS X or Linux.
Let me know what you think in the comments 🙂
I can’t use it on windows xp……. 😦
It looks ugly on xp…. 😦
Please rectify it.
They seriously look amazing! Keep on that work!
I’m running linux so can’t comment first hand, but from the screen shots I’ve seen I can tell you I like them. I don’t agree that they are too curved, or that they distract from the text in the tab.
I’m very disappointed. There are many many reasons I choose Firefox over i.e Chrome, and one is that I really don’t like Chromes design. PLEASE, for the love of what ever you hold dear, do NOT implement this design. Add it as a “Default 2”-theme, or release it as an addon. But no, do not make it standard. I’ll /have/ to stay on a prior release, and there you have the Firefox 3 vs Firefox 4 conflict all over again.
Looks like it doesn’t really belong on windows… but maybe mac?
Linux, not sure, I haven’t used Linux much.
I ❤ it !!!
Certainly like it. You guys rock. Firefox is the best.
I want multirow tabs, less slanted curve.
inactive tab’s title/favicon is hard to read if dark background…
I think it’s awesome! But also, return opera-like tab moving animation and progress bar line in the inactive loading tab! Please!
